My son has a Super Sniffer. He can smell anything, even the faintest whiff of popcorn or gasoline. He also has a remarkable mental memory of smells and is always telling me “that smells like…”

Today both of them were coloring and Viking informed me that his markers smell like wet wipes. That’s when this conversation happened:

Viking: These markers smell just like wet wipes.

Principesa: They smell like what wipes?

Viking: wet wipes

Principesa: but what wipes?

Viking: wet wipes

Principesa: I’m asking you what wipes!

This went back and forth for a while before I finally quit laughing long enough to break up the who’s-on-first routine before it broke into fisticuffs.
